Santa
Paws
to
the tune of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause
I
saw Mommy petting Santa Paws
Underneath
the Christmas wreath that night.
She
didn't seem to know
About
the cookies that he stole
Or
those little black nuggets he left us in our stocking
" They
weren't Coal!"
Then
I saw Mommy scratching Santa Paws
Underneath
his big and floppy ears.
She
didn't know that in is sack
He
tied and gagged the cat
As
Mommy petted Santa Paws that night.
Then
I saw Mommy play with Santa Paws
Over
by the fireplace that night.
He'd
fetch and he would beg.
He
gave his paw. She scratched his head.
Then
he walked over to the Christmas tree
and,
AHH, he lift his leg.
Then
I saw Mommy scolding Santa Paws.
She
yelled and shook her finger in his face.
He
didn't bark or bite or wail
Just
stood and wagged his tail
As
Mommy scolded Santa Paws that night.
Then
I saw Mommy hugging Santa Paws
Over
by the Christmas tree that night.
She
called us to come down
Down
the stairs to meet the hound.
She
couldn't stay mad at eyes so sad
So
she gathered us around.
And,
oh, I fell in love with Santa Paws.
Mom
said that he was mine to teach and train.
Now
this is a happy end,
Cause
now he's my best friend
Since
we adopted Santa Paws that night.
