The Brussels Griffon is known for the almost human expression on his face. He is highly intelligent and sensitive. The Brussels Griffon is a total companion, bright and alert. If he feels threatened, he kicks up a big fuss. This is a big dog in a small body.

Coat

Two coat types: the smooth and the rough coated.

Grooming

brushing and combing, occasional trimming, ear cleaning, nail trimming. The rough coated needs occassional hand stripping or clipping.

Very intelligent

Trainability

varies with breeding, no harsh or forced training.

Temperament

A spunky terrier temperament, lively and alert, full of their own importance and very friendly and outgoing

Problems

Because of low litter numbers, the Brussels Griffon is extremely hard to find.
